About Us
Makan Datang is a website for a Halal Kitchen Home-baker JuneFariz who incorporates passion in cooking and baking with quality ingredients served with a twist. Menus are seasonal or on demand, so do keep an eye on offers and latest updates. We are pleased to serve our dishes to happy customers such as our signature Roti Kirai/Roti Jala (with unique colours such as ombre effect, pastel, dual toned, rainbow), and aromatic lemak chicken curry and beautifully decorated Mooncakes.
Premium Ingredients are selected as we are health conscience - less sweet, himalaya unbleached salt, unbleached flour, olive oil, MCT oil. All sources are halal so that it can be enjoyed together in the larger community and that includes our utensils. If you have a dietary or allergen concern, please share with us. We have tweaked recipes where possible to suit Vegans, vegetarians and those with nut allergy.
The name MakanDatang is a play of the Malay words "Akan Datang" which means "coming soon". One of our trusted Delivery Partner is JJGet JH Go, delivers by car and is experienced in delivering food dishes and cakes. You can also pick up to save the delivery cost; we are located centrally in Bishan. Food safety is paramount to us. We use a food grade disinfectant for our surfaces.
